Tell us what you need on WhatsApp. A person comes back to you with who we can send and when — and says so plainly when we cannot fill it.

Fees and process on this page last checked .
The placement fee is 50% of the worker’s agreed first month gross salary, paid once, before they start — never below the minimum for that role, and never above KES 60,000.
There is no fee to receive candidates, no monthly charge, and no cut of anyone’s salary afterwards. The worker pays nothing at all, ever.
| Role | Fee | Minimum fee | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| Security guard | 50% of first month | KES 12,000 | Salary 30,000 → fee 15,000 |
| Hospitality staff | 50% of first month | KES 8,000 | Salary 25,000 → fee 12,500 |
| Cleaner | 50% of first month | KES 6,000 | Salary 18,000 → fee 9,000 |
| House help / nanny | 50% of first month | KES 6,000 | Salary 20,000 → fee 10,000 |
What the law says you must pay in Nairobi →
Whichever is higher: the minimum for the role, or half the first month. A guard on KES 30,000 costs KES 15,000. A guard on KES 20,000 falls under the minimum, so the fee is KES 12,000. You see the exact figure before you pay anything.
If the person leaves or is dismissed within 60 days, we replace them once without a second placement fee. The conditions are written out in our terms rather than left vague — you should read them before you pay.
Five steps. The first four happen on WhatsApp; the fifth is a manager of ours at your door on the first morning. There is no portal, no login and no form to fill in.
We place across Nairobi and the commuter belt around it — Westlands, Kilimani, Karen, Lavington, Kileleshwa, Runda, Muthaiga, Parklands, South B and C, Langata, Embakasi, Kasarani, Ruaka, Kiambu, Ruiru, Thika Road, Ngong Road, Kikuyu and Athi River among them. If your area is not on that list, ask — the answer is often yes.
Send HIRE to +254 143 829 078. Six short questions: your business or household name, a phone number or email address we can reach you on, the role, how many people, your area of Nairobi, and the monthly salary you are offering. About a minute.
Within 24 to 72 hours a person sends you profiles of who we can send and when — on the same WhatsApp thread or by email, whichever you prefer. Each profile gives that person’s experience, area and references, and no contact details. It is up to three days rather than one because every person on that list has had their ID checked and their work history gone through before their name reaches you. If nobody in our pool fits what you asked for, we tell you that instead of sending you someone who does not fit.
You interview whoever you want to and we arrange it — every call and every meeting runs through us until the fee is settled, so no phone numbers change hands before then. Nobody starts work until you say so.
An M-Pesa prompt comes to your phone for the exact amount. Paid once, before the start date. Their full contact details come to you once it is settled, and the 60-day replacement runs from their first day.
On the first morning a manager from ABITECH brings the worker to you, makes the introduction and stays for it to see that the start goes well. That happens on every placement, not only the first one you make with us.
One thing, properly: a photograph of their Kenyan national ID, checked against the international standard for identity documents before they enter the pool at all — by machine, and by a person on our team for anything the machine cannot decide.
We do not run police clearance checks, we do not hold certificates of good conduct on file, and we do not tell you a worker is “trained” unless we have seen the training. Plenty of agencies imply all three. If a candidate has a certificate of good conduct or a Guard Force number, we will tell you so and show you — and when they do not, we will say that too.
The ID check is arithmetic, and arithmetic has limits you should hear from us rather than work out later. The code printed at the bottom of a national ID carries its own check digits; our system recomputes them to the international standard. Digits that add up show the numbers on that card hold together. They do not prove the card is genuine — somebody setting out to forge one can work the digits out too. And nobody can tell from a photograph of a card whether the face on it belongs to the person holding the phone: not our system, and not a person on our team either. If that matters for the role, meet the candidate and ask to see the card in your own hand.
What you get instead is a real name attached to an ID document whose own check digits verify, that card compared against every other card we have been sent so one card cannot quietly register two people, their own account of their experience in their own words, and a phone number we have been talking to. You do the interview. That is the honest version of what a young agency can offer, and we would rather you hear it here than find it out later.
It is checked once — by machine, and by a person for anything the machine cannot decide — then it is deleted from our messaging provider. If no check has happened within 30 days it is deleted anyway. A worker can send STOP at any time and their profile and photograph are erased. This is in code, not just in policy — the rules are described in our privacy notice and promised in the worker charter.
A Nairobi staffing service operated by ALF Holdings East Africa Limited, company registration CPR/2012/90232, running entirely over WhatsApp on +254 143 829 078.
We are not yet registered with Kenya’s National Employment Authority. Registration under the National Employment Authority Act is required of an agency that charges a placement fee, and ours is in progress.
We are not licensed by the Private Security Regulatory Authority. We introduce guards to employers; we do not employ guards ourselves.
And we are new. We are building this pool now, which means that on any given day we may not have the person you need — in which case we will say so inside the same 24 to 72 hours rather than leave you waiting. If that is not what you need right now, a bigger agency is a fair choice and we will not pretend otherwise.
The placement fee is 50% of the agreed first month gross salary, with a minimum of KES 6,000 for a house help or nanny. On a salary of KES 20,000 a month, the fee is KES 10,000. On a salary of KES 10,000 a month, half would be KES 5,000, so the KES 6,000 minimum applies. The fee is paid once, before the start date, and includes the 60-day replacement.
No. There is no shortlist fee, no registration fee and no monthly charge. You pay only the placement fee, only once you have chosen someone, and only before they start.
If they leave or are dismissed within 60 days of starting, we replace them once at no further placement fee. The conditions — including that the agreed salary was actually paid — are written out in our terms.
No, and this is the point of our worker charter. Workers pay nothing to join, nothing to be matched and nothing to be placed, and we take no share of anyone’s salary. If a worker is ever asked for money in our name, we ask them to send REPORT on WhatsApp and we call them.
Not yet. Registration under the National Employment Authority Act is required of an agency that charges a placement fee, and ours is in progress. We are a registered Kenyan company — ALF Holdings East Africa Limited, CPR/2012/90232 — but we are not going to describe ourselves as a licensed employment agency before we are one.
A person answers you within 24 to 72 hours with who we can send and when — and everybody we send you has been screened first, which is what the extra time buys. How fast somebody actually starts depends on whether we already have the right person in the pool for your role and area. We will tell you which of those two situations you are in rather than let you wait and guess.
Yes, on every placement. On the first morning a manager from ABITECH brings the worker to you, introduces them, and stays for the introduction to see that the start goes well. If something is not right, you are saying it to a person from our team who is standing in front of you rather than sending a message and waiting for an answer.
Not at the moment. We place within Nairobi and the surrounding area only, and we do not recruit for employment outside Kenya.
Yes. Households are most of what we do — house help, nannies and cleaners for homes across Nairobi. The process and the fee are the same.
M-Pesa. Once you have chosen a candidate, a payment prompt for the exact amount comes to your phone. There is no cash, and nobody from our team will ever ask you to send money to a personal number.
Six questions on WhatsApp, about a minute. A person answers within 24 to 72 hours, with somebody we have screened.
